On Tuesday, girls basketball teams across the state began their march to a state title. It was also the start of the first true test for NETS as it faced off against the coaches' sectional rankings.
Coaches meet each year to rank the teams in their sectional. NETS and the coaches rankings do not always agree. As a test, games will be identified where NETS indicates that the team with the worse coaches rank should actually be expected to win. In essence, these are games where the coaches and NETS disagree.
The coaches and NETS will be evaluated on two metrics:
1. Wins and Losses - The correct ranking for each game will win that game.
2. Point Differential - The correct ranking will receive the margin of victory from that game.

NETS is off to a great start boosted by the coaches being very incorrect on several matchups. In games where NETS picked the wrong team, the games were typically close.
Tune in Friday for more coaches vs. NETS action!
