NETS is a new rating system for ranking high school basketball teams. NETS is an ELO rating system that is designed to increase (or decrease) a team's rating when they perform better (or worse) than expected. The NETS adjustment is based on the opponent and the result. NETS will increase more after defeating a better opponent than after defeating a worse opponent. Additionally, NETS will decrease less after losing to a better opponent than after losing to a worse opponent.
NETS will be updated weekly to reflect the new results from the previous week. Current NETS ratings can be viewed on the left sidebar.
